I have worked as a Software Consultant since 1987 and have worked with many large companies in Financial and Utilities sectors. I currently work for a London-based Insurtech company alongside developing solutions for Chatty Toolbox™ speech and language software packages.

I graduated from Manchester School of Art with a degree in Interactive Arts in 2020. Since joining the Chatty™ team I have created bespoke artwork for the software package, Chatty Toolbox™. I also support the Chatty™ team with any of their graphic design and marketing needs.

I joined the Chatty ™ team in February 2024 and since then have provided guidance and support in the development of modules of Chatty Toolbox® software.  I am a fully qualified Teacher and an Early Years Lead and still work several days each week in a classroom which means I understand the challenges faced by School staff.

I graduated in 1986. I promote a “Means, Reasons and Opportunities” model to optimise a child’s communication potential. I have devised training packages on these areas and I am also registered with Hanen to deliver some of their programmes. I am competent in the use of Makaton signs to an Enhanced level. I am trained to use Picture Exchange System (PECS) and I am also experienced in the use of a range of low and high tech AAC systems.

I have over 30 years of experience working in a range of different settings with children and young people with speech, language and communication needs. My particular areas of expertise are severe speech sound disorder and developmental language disorder. Training other professionals has also always been part of my role and is an area I continue to enjoy. Through continuing professional development I have ensured my knowledge and skills are current and evidence-based.

I qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2005 and have worked in the NHS ever since, supporting children and young people with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs. In recent years, I have focused on working with children with special educational needs (SEN) and their families, particularly within mainstream school settings.

I joined the Chatty™ team in February 2025 and now provide Speech and Language Therapy services to local schools. I’m especially passionate about the Chatty Toolbox™️ and enjoy working closely with schools to help support and strengthen children’s language and communication skills.

I started working for the Chatty™ team in January 2023. I have over 34 years experience of working with children having been a nanny for 16 years and a Teaching Assistant/Higher Level Teaching Assistant in two different primary schools for 18 years. I have delivered many interventions including speech and language therapy in 1:1, small group and whole class formats.

I started working for the Chatty™ team in 2022 having worked in Education since 2012.

I have experience of working with many children with SLCN and more general SEN needs having worked with whole classes and in a 1:1 format.
