Early
Chatty Toolbox™ Module
Chatty Early is the boost programme for children who are behind in their language development. It supports them to build key skills – learning nouns, verbs and early concepts – to become confident, school-ready communicators. Great for children with lower level language skills on entry, those with SLCN or more complex needs and also for children learning English as an additional language (EAL). The module includes screening tools, progress trackers and printable reports, alongside engaging teaching resources and games that support and structure language learning in a fun, practical way.
Speech
Chatty Toolbox™ Module
Chatty Speech is designed to help schools identify and support children with speech sound difficulties. It includes easy-to-use screening tools to spot specific challenges, along with clear, engaging resources to teach and practise target sounds. Whether used by teaching staff or support teams, it provides everything needed to deliver structured, effective intervention – helping children speak more clearly and confidently.
Emotions
Chatty Toolbox™ Module
Chatty Emotions helps children understand, express and manage their feelings. It includes screening tools and activities to teach emotion vocabulary, Mood Magic resources to support self-regulation, and Blank Level screening and teaching tools to develop emotional reasoning. Designed for children with lower language levels, alongside those with Autism, SLCN and SEMH. It’s ideal for use in both mainstream classrooms and resource provision settings – building emotional literacy through structured, engaging support.
Subjects
Chatty Toolbox™ Module
Chatty Subjects helps schools quickly identify and close vocabulary gaps that prevent children from accessing the KS1 and KS2 curriculum. In under two minutes, staff can screen for key vocabulary gaps in History, Geography and Science, then use the ready-made tools to teach them clearly and effectively – just as a speech and language therapist would. Designed for children with SLCN, DLD, SEND, EAL or limited language exposure, it makes targeted and whole-class vocabulary intervention simple, structured and fun. Developed by a speech and language therapist and education specialist, it follows EEF recommendations for explicitly teaching subject-specific vocabulary to boost understanding, engagement and retention.
Academy
Chatty Toolbox™ Module
Chatty Academy is a set of eight one-hour CPD workshops created by an expert with over 25 years’ experience in speech and language therapy. Each session covers a key SLCN topic, offering essential background, practical strategies for the classroom, support with identifying and prioritising needs, and guidance on using tech and resources for effective intervention. Designed to boost staff confidence and create communication-friendly classrooms, every workshop comes with handouts and a certificate of completion.
